sorry, just didn't view someone that put up 23 points in 54 AHL games was the best prospect in the world and the next McDavid.. not worth a 24 year old goalie that's ready to be a starter.. i forgot the wings also have the best goaltending prospect in the world.. someone that put up only a point per game in juniors when he was one of the oldest players in the tourny. Whoops. When people are trading a 2nd + prospect for Georgiev I forgot he isn't worth a former 30th overall pick who only performed well when he was one of the oldest in the CHL in his post draft year.

Right, but again not understanding that we are rebuilding and veleno projects as our #2 center of the Future, not trading that for a goalie who may or may not be good. we aren't trading prospects and picks for players right now until we start to turn it around, we aren't a georgiev away from being competitive, so this makes no sense

You do understand since he was given exceptional status that this was his age 19 season, d+2 when others junior players are still in the CHL and not AHL? So he wasn’t the older but the youngest... That’s the only way he is in the AHL.

I never said he was the youngest in the AHL. He was one of the oldest during his best season in the CHL. To put it in perspective, chytil outperformed Veleno in the AHL when he was 17-18 years old vs 19-20. Exceptional status isn’t everything, just ask Sean Day. It’s not like he tore up the league like shane Wright, McDavid, tavares, and all the others that got exceptional status recently

It’s a d+1 production... if he doesn’t tear up the league then people label him bust and if he does tear it up you then label him an overager. Chytil has also been playing in a men’s league even before being drafted so I’d wager an easier transition. I’m not sure why you brought that up as it’s not relevant. He was night and day after returning from WJC20 to AHL but I’d wager you don’t routinely watch the Griffins.
