Description
Ehlers trade benefited both teams as Winnipeg is looking for defenseman and a 2 line Center which they get. Mtl gets a speedy agile winger on that weak right side. Roster moves as weal and lindgren don’t have any space on the roster. Then get rid of the contract of Byron as he’s got no spaced, a 20 goal scorer that should help jersey during the season. Finally trading Tatar to Colorado who did have interest in him for 2 defenseman that don’t have any room on their d core in the future, Colorado gets a bonafide scorer who could be a point per game player. Then the signing of simmonds to have a gritty presence of the fourth line who also could play on the pp in front of the net and then hoffman who is a bonafide sniper which mtl desperately needs. And as you guys can see, I brought in a lot of big guys which the Canadiens don’t have. I would consider this a contending team

Domi doesn’t have a spot on this team, he is gone we need wingers and julien even said it, he’s better at Center

That would be a very easy no for Winnipeg. Domi doesn't have the value to be the main piece for any of Winnipeg's top 5.

Winnipeg is in need of a lot of things, and with ehlers being on the block he’s expendable, and a center is more valuable then ehlers, also domi is quite similar to ehlers and they got a 4/5 d man in kulak and a 4th I call it even for both teams

COL will probably trade a defenseman but no way in hell they trade 2 especially for Tatar who has a nasty tendency of disappearing in the playoffs.

Ehlers isn't on the block, I don't know where that came from. Ehlers is better at line driving as a winger than Domi is as a center, so that eliminates Domi's supposed advantage as a center and a 6/7 defenseman doesn't close the gap.

Domi was passed by two rookies in a bad Montreal lineup, and with only 2 years to UFA, his value has plummeted. Winnipeg would have no interest in Domi at all.

Maybe Timmons was a little much, but in that case replace him with a late second

As for the original trade, I'm not keen on moving Timmins for a rental.

Although Tatar is good, as a mtl fan getting a youngish big defender who can take chiarots role when he’s gone would be nice, cuz Tatar is gonna want a fortune and we have enough prospects to replace him

You need to dig a bit deeper then trade center trade board. They add the disclaimer that they don't see the Jets moving Ehlers or Laine but...
