Not close. They don't want picks, they want today talent and you can sweeten it with picks. If it doesn't involve nylander or matthews, you can forget parayko

Ah, but I thought the idea of moving Parayko was so they could afford to keep Pietrangelo. That's the reason I did picks & prospects

Preds don't do that deal. Rangers probably don't as they have cap issues. And why should the Leafs give up all those futures for just two years of Parayko. You really think this 21 man roster are good enough to beat Boston and Tampa?
Better to sign a UFA like DeMelo, keep good and good prospect Liljegren and the picks, and have enough cap to man at least 22 man roster.

There are plenty of moves for Armstrong to make before it ever got to Parayko or Dunn.

It's close, as a Blues fan we are over protective of Parayko. Liljegren could very well play bottom 6 next year and I do like his potential. I just think the Blues would want this years first since it is a deep draft

Don;t encourage this. That offer wouldn't even get them in the room, and not only because 29 other teams would smash it out of the ballpark.

Don't worry, I was very confused by the idea of trading Parayko essentially for futures & the money to resign Pietrangelo. Also even in this deal the Leafs aren't in a great spot going forward with the cap staying put.

but it is close, Liljegren and 15OA this year is close. Add in more 2 rd picks and it is very tempting for the Blues. They could then resign Petro, have Liljegren play bottom pairing minutes and walk away with a very promising prospect in the draft this year. Also the Blues don't have a second this year so that is a plus
