Danault is hard to replace. Almost no way Poeling is ready.
Were losing 2 key PKers in Danault and Armia, leaving us with Suzuki and Byron.
    Not good.
But, I do like to offensive punch, as well as recouping assets for our UFAs

I would love Armia and Danault, but man that's a steep price.

Habs better off keeping Danault and Armia (and try to extend them at reasonable deals)

Could the Sharks even afford to extend, do they have the cap space?

No The price is close, Danault would be our 2C moving Couture to LW where he will a better asset (coutures face-off percentage has been really bad the last few years anyways 38, 45, 44, 46, 48 the last 5 years and hasn’t Been over 50% in 8 years)
And his cap hit makes him far more valuable than anyone else similar on the market, Armia is a solid middle 6 RW which we badly need and would fill Goodrow’s place on this team at a good cap hit.

Honestly swap the Pittsburg 21 3rd with col 20 2nd an I think it’s more than fair

Depending on who they trade this offeseason and who gets taken in the expansion draft, maybe. It's hard to know. As of now with guys like Burns, Vlasic etc. still here with their full cap hits, no.

I never said it wasn't close, I was just saying it's a lot to give up for us.

Except Danault does not want to be a 3C grinder and he sounds like he wants out to Montreal.

Same for Domi wanting out it seems

What about Domi and Danault for Timo Meir Tampa’s 1st and vlassic with 1.5 retained?

No dice that term is horrendous smh. We already have to.deal Weber's term. You guys should use a compliance buy-out when the CBA gets renewed.

    I know I’m
    Saying we keep
The col 2 Nd and give you Pittsburg 3rd and that’s a price I’d be willing to pay

That’s why I’m over paying with Meir and our 1st. And retaining on vlassic.
Meir for Domi and Danault plus a 2nd is fair in my opinion
The first plus the 2nd from that trade for Vlassic retained for nothing I was hoping was close, after all I heard you guys were close to trading for him less than a year ago.

The CBA has already been renewed. There's no compliance buyout, just regular buyouts.
