I like how Bozak is a cap dump from St. Louis to Toronto, but then isn't anymore when he's going from Toronto to Anaheim.

I wouldn’t say he is a dump in the first trade. I think a 4th is roughly his value. I’m sure that Anaheim is not on his trade list though so none of that matters.

How to make it work (it's only be shown on here a few hundred times, so you may have missed it...):

-Current Blues salary for 2020-2021: $75.102 mil ($6.397 in space, 20 players signed)
-Buyout Steen: Clears $3.416 mil (New hit-$71.686-$9.814 in space, 19 players signed)
-Trade Bozak: Clears $5 mil (New hit-$66.686-$14.814 in space, 18 players signed)
-Sign Pietragelo: We'll say $8.5 mil because he allegedly wants to stay (New Hit: $75.186-$6.314 in space, 19 players signed)
-Now, you re-sign Dunn: $3.5 mil (New Hit $78.686-$2.814 in space, 20 players signed)
-Then you fill out your roster with a couple of ELC's.
-Also, space will be created by a multi-month stay on LTIR by Tarasenko.

I am not a fan of Johnsson's contract, but I think that the Penguins would accept.

its not that hard, trade bozak and anyone else. Tarasenko goes to LTIR, creates 7.5 more million in cap and buys them time to find suitable trades to dump more cap instead of selling off their best true defender for nothing. CP has more value than nylander straight up, dermott does nothing for STL and probably isint more valuable than bozak and the third. If you want him itll have to be an overpay.
