This is why i don't like the trade for Edmundson. If Bergevin signs Edmunson, and trade for OEL, than it would be OEL - Chiarot - Edmunston for at least 2-3 years.

It would mean they'd have a very expensive 7th D when Romanov plays in the top 4. Or he plays the right side and Petry isn't re-signed.

WSH has four or five good LHD, and a few good LHD prospects. It's the only position where they're all set. Boyd played as high as 2nd line at moments this year. Mete is obviously a very valuable player, and younger, and it's an offer that in a vacuum looks like a win for WSH but on the ice, both teams have more use for a half-decent right shot RW/C.
