That’s a pass from the Wings. You have to remember that UFA rights have little to no value. It’s not worth it for the Red Wings to take on Eriksson for a significantly reduced cost when I doubt Markstrom will sign with us anyway (even if he would there’s still other competent goalies we could get for free in free agency).
