It's bizarre that the Andersen to the Flames deal's get worse as we get closer to Free Agency. Usually it's the opposite!

Matthews is the only player we’d give up for Gibby. Obviously it’s absurd but it’s the only thing that would. Gibson is a superstar who’s held back by a ****ty defense and would be a Venzia winner on a cup contending team. Without Gibson our team and franchise would pretty much collapse. I like the idea but I just don’t think Gibson is for sale for prices teams would be willing to pay.

I agree, he's totally a top goalie on an unreal contract as well. I went with marner mostly because I think anahiem has some solid center prospects already coming through the pipeline and maybe draft a top Dman this year since you now have a top winger. Obviously this leaves a big hole in goal but you might be able to fill that with a trade once the team is ready to become a winner again.

Obviously Matthews would be go to because the thing Anaheim lacks the most is scoring goals. Marner is a superstar and I think he’d be great on the ducks. But since we recently drafted Zegras we have that big play maker now and we just desperately need scoring.

In what world would we be giving up a 1st for Andersen even if he does re-sign, hes like the 4th best available goalie option on the market and you can get a FA goalie for free, and if most Flames fans scoff at Bennett for Andersen, why in the world would you guys think Dube is a suitable trade piece lmao

Dillon Dube is not getting traded for a rental goalie, and the fact that you're trying to add a 1st round pick on the condition that Freddy re-signs is ludicrous. Its never happening. The most you guys will get for Freddy is a couple picks, thats it.
