Description
No-one flame the Ottawa trade, Sens will actually need to take on cap hits in order to hit the cap floor, and this is an easy way to do so without actually spending real $$$. Eriksson is only owed 5M over his final 2 years, while his cap hit is 6M per. This helps Ottawa and of course helps the Canucks, which is why they send Jett Woo over as compensation.

As for no Marky/Tanev, sounds like some teams are willing to offer more term and $$ than the Canucks are, so they should be prepared to walk.

Toffoli and Canucks are apparently close on a deal, and this is around what i'm expecting.

Virtanen should not be in a Canucks uniform come next season, and Stecher is my opinion will be traded to recoup picks.

Sutter, with retained salary, shouldn't be too difficult to move, assuming Canucks are looking to do so.

Greiss signs a 2 year deal, gives him and Demko 1A/1B style set-up while Canucks wait to see what DiPietro becomes.

Dillon has expressed interest in coming home, and could be a good replacement for PK shifts that Tanev previously took.

Any recommendations for what to do with Roussel / Baertschi? I think those are two players who could be moved, but it may be tough to find suitors.

Plenty of teams out there with bad contracts to move. You do to have the draft equity to move eriksson.

Miller is Dahlin's partner so you likely won't get him. Montour is more likely

Not enough to move Eriksson Bennings not willing to pay the price to move him he’s been very public about that
Stecher doesn’t get you a second he’ll be this yrs Hutton not qualified to many players out there like Stecher every teams got one
Sven buyout
Roussel good luck going to have to take back equally as bad contract of pay to move him
The Sutter for Chris Russell trade rumour makes some sense for both teams nuks would need to retain 350k
Not sure Bennings going to get much of a return for Virtanen as teams know there scrambling to move him as they don’t plan on qualifying him I think Virtanen still has some upside and a change of address could be what he needs as I think the relationship between him and green has become toxic and I don’t see him be well respected amongst his teammates

what about it? it's a realistic deal. Benning has made it clear they want him around long term, and has also made it clear he's willing to overpay for 4th liners.

I'm not a fan of it either, but you gotta prepare for the realistic outcome.

I guess we'll need to wait and see. Both player and management seem to want long term, so I assume at least 3

If management signs another fourth liner to a FOUR YEAR contract they should be fired. Full stop. Motte has ZERO leverage. He's arb eligible but after walking from Hutton last year it needs to be made clear that they'll do the same if it comes down to it. My best guess is 2 x 1.1M. And I still wouldn't like it.
