Liljegren and Abramov are very good prospects and Johnsson is a 20-30 goal scorer.. hardly spare parts. Also, hamilton may be priced like a Ferrari, be he is more of a c8 corvette

Why do the isles pay to get rid of Mayfields beautiful contract?

There is literally no reason for the Isles to do this.

You made the cardinal sin of trading with Carolina and the Islanders. You have to start with Matthews no matter who you want to trade for and TO adds

Ok but why are we paying to get rid of such a value contract. No incentive for the isles to do this

No way do the Islanders trade away Mayfield for a tweener prospect when he is making chump change for the next two seasons. Couple that insanity and you got us adding a 3rd rounder for a 6th rounder. Hallander is an ok prospect but undersized and I wouldn't even trade a third rounder for him at this point. Laughable trade

Johnsson was a 20 scoring coming off a bad injury. His value is way down. Liljegren is a decent prospect but seems like another long term development that probably wont pan out. Again spare parts.
