Kings decline, they are going to keep their draft picks and Roy.

Avs are not going to give you a former 1st rounder that is showing some promise for Alex Kerfoot and spare change. There is a reason they sent AK to the Leafs in the first place - he doesn't fit with what the Avs are doing.

I mean, it's easier to fix the Leafs when other teams can't decline trades. Not one of these teams takes those deals.

It's like when someone says, "GM X should just sign excellent young player Y to a long-term deal right now that massively benefits the team," as though the player has no say in the deal at all.

Johnsson's value to some team outside Southern California = 3rd round pick

Engvall's value to some team outside Southern California = 5th round pick

Neither Anaheim nor Los Angeles needs another left-handed bottom-6 forward. And before you say "But Johnsson's a top-6 forward on any other team," the Kings have Alex Iafallo and Adrian Kempe, and the Ducks have Rickard Rakell and about 4 other guys whom they'd rather play.

Yep. Or when everyone on here signs Eric Cernak to an offer sheet, forgetting that he would actually, you know, want to sign it.

Chicago EASILY passes. Why would we give the Leafs any assets for Anderson, who's a 1 year rental, when we can just sign Crawford for a cheaper cap hit who is also statistically better?
