oilers decline in an instant. Bear is a top 4 dman, who's pretty young and shoots right. RNH for Nylander is a pretty equal trade off. We dont need Andersen

WOW REALLY? Like your being serious? Even though RNH is on the last year of his deal, the Oilers are rumoured to be moving two of their top 4 defenceman and you get the goalie you so desperately need? Alright man.

The value is good on most of them. Roy has had one good season. The issue is does Blake consider moving him.

Nah Matthews would be their franchise. Their fans wouldn't care what they would have to give up.

Giving up you’re entire future for one player is not what brings in fans

Dude if the leafs were in the Coyotes situation right now, I would have no problem trading Robertson, Sandin, a 1st, etc for a hometown kid who will become the face of the franchise.

Andersson isn’t the goalie we “desperately need” even though Koskinen is fine. I also don’t like that trade.

Today I saw a post for Dermott, 4th and 6th for Roy, the value is certainly not there on most of the ACGMs. I think people don't realize is his coaches/executive staff scream his praises, he was named defensive player of the year for the team (amongst three other team awards), his next contract will probably be cheap like Walkers, and is showing that our team is starting to fill the holes of a rebuild. He is one of the shining lights of a pretty bleak period for the Kings. The Kings have zero reason to move him, so if they do it should be an overpayment for an area we are weak in. Blake only moves him if he feels very confident Mikheyev will be sticking around long-term and ok with spending some time with a rebuilding team. He picked the Leafs because they were ready now, not to be used as trade bait the following year. So if all that works out, I think Blake would be foolish not to consider it.

Until you look in on his stats. Dermott is surprisingly good. Think he was 14th in GAR last season among all defensemen. He’s skilled physical two way Dman that can play the right side.... if only the leafs could get their hands on him...

If you compare Dermott's stats to Roy's, you realize it's a downgrade in almost every conceivable way, and picks in 100s aren't going to offset that.

Calgary would have zero interest in adding 6.5 million in cap space for three mediocre players and giving up picks.
