Redwings offer sheet

Created by: ItzLamey
Team: 2021-22 Detroit Red Wings
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 1, 2020
Published: Oct. 1, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Alright, i have been hearing grumbling of OEL wanting to goto Vancouver.... if they're true it means Benning will most definitely be dumb enough to take his contract and cap strap the team which can make Hughes or Pettey available for offer.... If im Yzerman I fulfill that broken promise to take Hughes home to Michigan.

The team isn't designed for forwards mentality its predominantly for the offersheet and what the team could roughly look like. I do believe however it should be 2022's draft picks not next years but I could be wrong and I'm sure ya'll won't hesitate to point it out.

Canucks easily match.

It would have to be over 11M to even think about it being possible.

Oh but the thrill is in the roast. Of which I know is coming..... I'll delete it once I garnered some feedback to the idea.

Think so? The Pettey coming up and the possible acquisition of OEL? Benning loves bad contracts

Petey and Hughes are both probably top 10 most valuable players in the league right now.

I do not disagree with you at all. 100% but Vancouver is cap strapped so a team can take advantage of it if they don't manage to dump cap to sign both.

Hughes can’t be offersheet’d. He’s a 10.2c Regardless you would be doing Vancouver a favour and saving them money at that term.

Currently yes, but at next years season end he should then be eligible if he has not already signed a contract.

you'd be doing Vancouver a favor here, Easily matched you have to remember money is coming off the books next year, At most they need 18 mill to sign both but i doubt that even if they did you easily make room for both players

He’s under contract this year in the final year of his rookie deal. He’s an 10.2 next summer which means he can’t be offered sheeted next summer either. Gotta go check out his contract just to give you a heads up!

Unless they trade for OEL as in description which throws a wrench into everything. Knowing Benning he will

Even if a trade goes down they would be sending cap back the other trust me man you will not get a successful offer sheet one Hughes or Pettersson at 8 million
