Additional Details:
There are a lot of goalies out there. But let me ask this question: How many 26-year-old goalies who have won two Stanley Cups are available right now? There are a lot of goalies out there, and a lot of good ones. There’s no question about that. But those guys out there on the market haven’t done what Matt has done. To me, that’s the difference, and that’s why teams want him.

  1. Coyle, Charlie
  2. 2021 3rd round pick (BOS)

I don’t think boston is signing a guy to a 6 year extension and then moving him before he plays a game under it.

I hope the Sabres would decline any offer involving Murray. He’s not even good enough to be our starter.

Sabres dont need an expensive back up nor Jack Johnson even if its only Mitts going back. The Sabres have a $2 mill cap window (estimated) to improve themselves this offseason, and this would force them to move other pieces

100% agree, but in fairness it wouldn't be the first time they did it, with Seguin being the most recent tears of joy

Coyle was signed to this deal to take Krejci's spot when he's gone. McCann won't be a 2C. Try for another 3C somewhere else.

Buffalo doesn’t want Jack Johnson’s albatross contract. Murray doesn’t interest me personally either.

The Sabres aren’t trading Eichel; I don’t even think they would if he wanted out due to the marketing implications

Buffalo easily declines
Murray isn’t worth that return,
especially coming off a down season
And he didn’t win those 2 Cups
A pretty stacked team, led by Sid & Geno did
And Murray has been average (at best) since

Buffalo declines but maybe remove the 3rd round pick and value aint far off. Murray and Legare both have value. But might need to add to it

Zucker > Coyle no thanks
