why? Basically they get a decent 3rd line at worse center man with veteran leadership..a decent 3rd line potential maybe 2nd line in virtanen. And a good young goalie who is ready to take the reins. All for a 2nd which they own 2 others plus 3 firsts. I think thats a pretty good deal..plus I got canucks retaining 31%.I say ottawa accepts gladly

Only reason OTT hangs up is cause Melynuk is cheap AF. Value-wise that's a massive overpayment for taking on 1yr of 3mil for a great PK specialist. Or was the Ottawa PK not 27th in the league last year?

not so much about it being more..the only way they get anyone to take eriksson is if they throw in a 1st round pick..the deal with sutter is broke down as demko for a 2nd round and then sutter ( I only added canucks retaining some of sutter to make it a little more appealing to ottawa) and virtanens rights as more of a bonus..they can't afford to sign him, so its more of tryin to move out someone and getting at least something back in return, thats why I added the 6th round in.
