But you don't have LA retaining cap. And why would we have to send a pick with Fleury to Pittsburgh?

You did it wrong, Vegas is retaining the $3,000,000 and giving up a 1st round pick on top of it. If LA was retaining the $3,000,000 it would show up to Pittsburgh as $3,000,000 in retention instead of nothing at all.

With two years left on Fleury's deal, it seems like something LA might consider if they get a couple of late 2nd round picks? Then Vegas or Pittsburgh sends the other some sort of mid-round pick, depending whether FLeury at 4M has positive or negative value.

there is no way the penguins take MAF back. Hell we shipped him off because we were sick of seeing weak goals let in.

LAK: Retain $3M of Fleury’s salary, upgrade from 2nd, 4th, 4th to 1st, 3rd
PIT: Add Fleury for $4M per
VGK: Shed Fleury’s $7M off their cap
