Ok well I've never heard the "Hawks have a great defensive core" argument haha. I mean I think it's going to be great in the coming years but it's definitely been subpar the past two seasons. Our strength has been our goaltending last season with Crawford and Lehner playing very well. I can guarantee you that whatever offer Murray is asking for can be matched for Crawford who won't be inconsistent.

You just love cherry picking stats. If Murray has better stats in the playoffs then the penguins sucked and Murray was a star but in the regular season you ignore the fact that the penguins were great and Murray was awful. Also the reason Montreal won was because of their goaltending not their goal scorers.

It's kind of like Fleury, all you have to do is a reasonably below average job and the Penguins can win.
