Sweetened Zucker offer

Created by: Eli
Team: 2020-21 Washington Capitals
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 5, 2020

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Better?

Zucker is a really good wing who had a bad playoff after the Pens paid a 1st and a recent 2nd to pick him up.

Some Pens fans thought that trading him for Kempny and Hagelin helps their team and helps their cap situation.

Fans of other teams who think that a player is always worth whatever some team overpaid for them at the trade deadline said this was impossible and there must be a 1st and a 2nd included in the deal.

So I added a recent 1st and a recent 2nd, and a swap of 4C's.

Is that better, interwebz?

that's just some fans being sentimental that haggy is gone..
obviously as a PIT fan I hate WSH and don't think that those 2 teams would ever trade with each other...but I'm not interested too much in their players...maybe eller??? or vrana? but other than them not really. also I don't think we'll trade Zucker unless he had a bad start to next season ....

Why is this a thing? In what world is 2 goals in 4 games a bad playoff for an individual player? This just doesn't make sense.

He was playing on a line with Crosby and on a power play with Crosby and Malkin. Conor Sheary straight out of Wilkes-Barre did better. At a 5.5M cap hit, some Pens fans seem to have buyer's remorse on Zucker.

Dude, in the playoffs, he was only outscored by a single point by Crosby, Rust, and Guentzel, outscored Malkin and Letang. He had 12 points in 15 regular season games after the trade. Anyone that has buyer's remorse is dumb, isn't paying attention, is biased against Zucker for some reason, or some combination of those things. He's objectively at *worst* the third-best winger on the Penguins. Further, he was not with Crosby at 5 on 5, nor did Sheary "do better" having tied Zucker in points but only had assists whereas Zucker had goals. I don't understand this narrative.

Its only 1, maybe 2 people who have talked about trading zucker. Vast majority of fans dont have buyers remorse. He played very well so far

Ya hes fit in well and plays into the system. The 1 or 2 guys that keep posting Zucker trades are just having fun on this site. I wouldn't really pay attention to their trades tbh
