Looking at this roster, I think the Rangers need a center more than they need Lafreniere. Take Kupari and maybe Turcotte? You still have a contending team. That being said, I doubt the Rangers do it. It’s just that hard to pass up on Lafreniere.

i dont think u can pencil byfield in on the big squad right out the gate, certainly not 2C. Hes a kid, def will get even better with some more seasoning and d work. upside is huge with him. also kandre, smith and libor on D? yikes. we need a stable vet presence back there- hopefully gorto addresses all that by this w/e the latest...myb tonite...! There's no trade that is going to happen involving a top 3 pick. The team moving down will want too much, the team moving up will not want to give up enough.

Don't see NYR trading # 1OA but that's the right track... for me in this very very very very unlikely scenario, gotta ask big .

Desperately need a center. Of course I'm not complaining that we won the first overall pick, but we need a C badly, and there are so many good ones to choose from after Laf is off the board. I almost wish we won second overall to make this easier haha.
