Yes its pretty much a dead deal, WPG fans want Sanheim or Myers. PHI has lost Niskanen to retirement and wont offer Sanheim or Myers.

Ghost is the only dman on offer and its not a good fit for what WPG wants. If it was Ghost, it would have to be a fairly confident return of Patrick or Morgan Frost, a 1st and another mid to high level prospect, and most WPG fans will say not enough. As a Philly fan, I want no part of a guy complaining about playing time, plays weak defense, hit 40 goals 3 years back and is a 6.75 expiring RFA probably looking for 9-10mil. I like Laine, but its not worth gutting the team to acquire. We cant give away a 30 yr 7mil JVR scoring 25-30 goals. Theres a reason he wants/the team wants to trade him, and he doesn't fit a real need in Philly.

Again, Philly is no longer in talks with WPG because Niskanen retired and Sanheim/Myers are off the table, WPG fans need to stop demanding one of them and Philly fans need to offer a lot more than an iffy Patrick and Ghost.
