Description

How to get under the cap:
1) Deal with Fleury: I think something that could make sense is VGK sending Fleury's full contract to a team like NJD or DET for 2 2nds or a 2nd and 3rd (return isnt important right now). That team could then retain half and flip him again. If no team is found, I think Vegas buys him out. For this example, I am going to buy him out :(
2) Move one of your dmen: Obvious choice is Schmidt, but I would rather move Martinez and Holden and then promote Hague. BOS was linked to Martinez and I think Vegas could get a 2nd or 2 3rds or a 3rd (once again, return isnt important right now). I also think a team out there would take Holden for a very late pick.
3) Sign a cheap backup: Dell seems like an obvious choice.

Hon. C'mon. I get that Columbus is playing the "any team that will take him" role here, but seriously, surely you could have picked a team other than the one that literally just gave away two better players at the same position for next to nothing.

Not a big fan of Martinez but if we were to get him, with Vegas' issues with the cap, I will give a 3rd in '21 at best-case.
But I think we have better options.
