You may want to take this down before the attacks..

Minimal OS could take those guys away if they are handed those contracts. When was the last time a 6-8M player took a deal for 1M to try and win a 2nd cup. These guys are looking for a payday not a repeat

Gourde was a really effective player in the playoffs, but he's not a 5mil player, and Ottawa should stay far away from that contract. I doubt any other team is particularly interested either.

Also even in a scenario where all three RFAs were willing to take a discounted one year deal for the team's sake, they all make significantly more than those deals. "Discount" for a guy like Sergachev is still north of 4.

Deal like this makes sense for Tampa .. similar to a Tyler Johnson deal .. we give up draft pick and retain small money for Gourde and Tyler .. those 2 are $11M or say $9M savings after $2M retain .. about what we realistically need for the 3 RFS .. FYI Tampa flat cap WORSE next year as Goodrow and Colemen are UFAs
