As much as I would want Columbus to say yes to this trade.... they can’t make this trade without hurting their reputation to get UFAs more then it already is. Grigorenko was just signed and hasn’t played a game for us... not a good look when trying to sign UFAs.

I think something like this makes sense for Tampa. HAVE to bite bullet now. Hopefully TJ and Gourde only cost us 2nds and pieces but do whatever it takes.

The comment above on "hurting" Columbus UFA potential.. I think EVERYONE understands the COVID impact of this AND next year .. if there aren't fans next year a few teams are in trouble financially .. making hard decisions and frankly ignoring NTCs NMCs and above scenario aren't ideal for players .. but they understand it

Basically no matter what, Tampa is going to lose a Johnson trade. Same for Vegas with Fleury.
