Description
Defense is certainly not what it was. The McDonagh trade definitely isn't realistic but it gives Tampa that top 6 forward they needed after trading Johnson and Killorn and they get rid of about 3 million in cap space after signing DeBrusk.

Hes just not very good? All his advanced stats are ugly and he only scores about 18 points a year. He looks decent because he plays on a super stacked team

Thats true, but hes also far worse than UFA's on the market, and no team wants to help tampa for free so

Still wouldn't do it to be honest. San Jose just isn't a good location for him. We already have an absolute logjam looming in the bottom 6, and Paquette doesn't provide something we don't already have to an extent. He's not a horrible player by any means, but he's too expensive and unless Tampa is taking back 2 of our contracts, there's no reason for us to add another cause we're at like 48/50.

A $5.6M bridge is a MASSIVE overpay for Sergachev. He's going to miss Shattenkirk badly, I wouldn't be surprised to see his stats suffer next season. Even with Shattenkirk he wasn't producing like a $5.6M player.
