Pens would love this trade but after putting it in on my own they would have a real log jam at center. Plus pens need defense above anything else.

Yeah, agreed. But this value would be way too good to pass up. Just getting the 1st alone would be too good to pass up.

Isn't Bouma a fringe NHL player, 4th liner?

There will be lots of goalies available before expansion due to "protect one goalie rule". And Fleury only as two years left on his contract next summer. That's a big overpayment for those reasons.

RAVE!!!
Zucker player is able to score 20 goals in a season by playing in any of the links, also performs a lot of rough work. With a small salary. And Bowman is who do this?
It's like predlzhit pomminvilya for Gaudreau. wildest nonsense

In 2017-18 they don't. Cullen likely retires. Will they resign Bonino to a big payday? If not that's both bottom 6 centers needing replacement. And the internal pool of candidates is Sundqvist, Fehr, and maybe Guentzel.

I think this is a big overpayment for Fleury. A roster player, a good prospect, salary relief, and a 1st? Pens would be happy with a mid-round pick with all those other pieces still in place.

Fleury is not worth that much... not even close... Re-Sign Chad... He is preforming well...
