Palmieri is an excellent player but I’m not really understanding the point of acquiring him to only play on the fourth line? A guy who the Leafs should target on NJ is Severson.

Thought so. I think it really just depends how highly you value Korshkov. I see him as a Nikita Gusev type. That could potentially be Korshkov, a 2021 1st, and a 2022 3rd (even though the leafs wouldn’t have the room to resign him.)

I would trade for a defender instead or a good 3c (I don’t like joe playing 3c all year) and I would do it at the start of the year. Allow more time for the players to mesh.

I don’t think Korshkov is a prospect with value anymore. He’s 24 years old. I think he would be a throw-in on a trade at best. A “C”, “C-“ prospect.
