Ah, yes, make all these unnecessary moves just to try and spite NYI w an offer sheet they’d match in 2 minutes

trading nylander for a #4D and a 3C with zero term and then paying a centre to play wing who put up less points and goals than willy is pretty epic, in my personal opinion

You would be doing the Islanders a favor.

Why not switch Nylander out for another forward that's more expensive? And you'll have to pay Sanheim as well.

Barzal is and will be the better player between the 2 and Sanheim is better than a 4D. I'll agree that this doesn't make sense for Toronto, but I get the idea.

sanheim is better than a #4D, but he's behind rielly/muzzin/brodie and potentially sandin in the coming years if he takes some steps. If we didn't get brodie, then maybe Sanheim would be better suited

also yeah, barzal plays centre and is better defensively, but willy is the more flashy, goal scoring type. Also has to do with the team systems as well tho, obv NYI is defensive.

still, I'll take willy at 6.9 over barzal at 9+

Kings decline because: (1) Kings aren't making trading away draft picks unless they are getting a great prospect back who won't have to be exposed to Seattle. (2) Kings already have their 3 defensmen to protect saved [Doughty, Roy, Walker] , (3) Dermott is the only piece the Kings would like, and they can't protect him, making him the easy pick for Seattle. (4) Holl and Hollowell are not pieces the Kings have any interest in and take up 2 contracts they want to keep open.
