swapping DeBrusk out for Pacioretty considering his age and cap hit makes no sense to the Bruins.

Trading 25 goals for 30 goals does not help their scoring. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s not a a question of “if” they miss out on Hoffman. There is no cap space to sign him. And nobody is taking a package of Moore and Ritchie for picks in order for them to have the space to be able to.

First off, i don’t think the bruins are pursuing Hoffman. Seems like that ship sailed when they signed smith.

Second, trading the guy coming off his ELC that has been a top six winger for them for the 32 year old is a really bad concept.

Were the bruins to be interested in acquiring pacioretty, from a roster standpoint it would be a pure add. Picks and prospects the other way, maybe a salary for cap reasons, but certainly not Jake debrusk.

Also, Marchands timeline has him not missing any games. Pastrnaks has him missing a couple weeks. Doubt the bruins go out and make a 21 million dollar commitment, while trading young roster players and futures to replace pasta for a home and home.

What about Athanasiou on a one year show me deal. He already score 30 goals in a season, if he can repeat that's a winning signature.

Assuming the season starts on January 13, Marchand could miss 2-3 games at worst. Pastrnak 4 weeks but we have Smith/Studnicka on the RW. Bruins don't " need " anyone up front, it's on defense that they need Chara and a top4 D (if Zboril/Lauzon/Vaakanainen can't take the role).

He won't and he won't fit in the system, he's a disaster defensively.
