For the Oilers it may be because their #1dman (Klefbolm) may miss the season due to surgery which could result in a lower standing, that said I see them 4th in the division not near the bottom.

Probably dropped the bruins too much but I think they're one of the teams that got obviously worse since last season. That left D looks pretty brutal as it stands.

Edmonton is going from the weak pacific division to this good Canadian division with no goalie upgrade and losing klefbom. Just don't think they're good at all beyond having 2 of the best players in the game.

That's my "shocker" pick. Lol but I do think LA is gonna take a step forward this season and flirt with playoffs. Probably won't finish ahead of Dallas but I hope they do.

If they're closing in on a playoff spot it's gonna be the Blues over Dallas imo

In these trying times as a hawks fan I'd like nothing more than the blues falling. But I think they have a better all around team than Dallas

Definitely better on offense. Defense is pretty close if not a tie. Goaltending dallas has the advantage with bishop but he's hurt again so I'd give the nod to st louis.

Depends how the goalies plays cause Khudobin could have a **** year with being the starter, Binnignton could also choke hard cause he lost his two best defensive defenders (Bouwmeester and Pietrangelo) , and could have a down year. Defense I have to give it to Dallas (no homer) Heiskanen is better than Parayko by a lot, Klingberg is better than Krug close enough, Dunn is better than Lindell, Oleksiak and Faulk is a tie and the rest I feel like Dallas is better, if Honka can preform well and Sekera can stay consistent I feel they're better, but then again I'm a Stars fan so I might be a little bit of a homer.

Isn't seguin out for a few more months too. So the stars centers look pretty weak with everyone playing up a line.

I don't think swapping pietrangelo with krug is gonna be as severe as most people think. And if perunovich can step up and earn a spot that will help but he's probably still a year away.

Heiskanen is definitely the best defenseman of the two teams but I like krug and parayko over klingberg

For our forwards, I'll pray that one of Gurianov, Hintz or Faksa can have a breakout season. For Seguin, if we can make the playoffs without him (we will in my opinion) he could breakout in the playoffs better than ever and we could win the cup, but that's just a prayer, from a sad sad Stars fan...
