How do they not make sense lol.

2021 is when Winnipeg will lose Statsny and will need a replacement before Perfetti is ready if he even plays C, let alone in the top 6.

NSH needs a top 6 scorer and Kreider is a good fit to slide in at 2LW.

fair enough didn't see 2021. I think they will try and bring back Stastny for a year first though.

As for the Nashville trade. Kreider's contract is an anchor. Before he signed the extension he was worth a 1st as a playoff rental, Now he's not.

Stasny left them once so I'd imagine he'd have no problem doing it again lol. What do you think we could get for Kreider?

look at it this way, would you pay a 1st to get Hayes back?

Well you cant know where you pick before the season starts but lets say its current range is #10-20. Would you trade a pick in that range right now for the current Hayes contract. Nothing else, no cap going back but no other adds from either side.

Considering how bad we're going to be this season, no. Other wise, potentially.

What do you mean by that? I told you the range where your pick will land, base it solely off that. Because that's basically where Nashville sits right now

They are in a division with St. Louis, Vegas, and Dallas. Then they have to also compete with Arizona who is about on par with them. Unless Saros takes some massive strides forward as a starter they will be 4th or 5th in the division.

You think you are finishing below New Jersey and Buffalo? I can see Buffalo maybe being ahead but not Jersey

Hard to say, I like their adds of Murray, Crawford, Johnsson, Kulikov, Smith, and Kuokkanen. We'll see but I don't think we'll be good until 2021-22.

NSH is going to have enough 30+ players on long contracts going forward. Kreider doesn't really interest me at any price.

While it hasn't been finalized yet, I don't think NSH is going to be in a division with any of those teams. All the rumoured proposals have them in sort of a south eastern division with FLA, TBL, CAR, CBJ, DET, CHI & MIN. I could see STL possibly being in this group, and MIN going with the western US teams though.

I’d definitely do that, Barbashev just doesn’t get it done for me

I'm a little hesitant because Gauthier isn't likely to be a NHL roster player, and Rykov is 27 I believe and he hasn't hit the NHL roster at all.

But at the same time also why is because we are already gonna lose Bozak after the season, I'm thinking Barby is moving up the lineup. NOt sure if Alexandrov, or another Center like Joshua gets a chance next year, but I'm not so sure Barby is really being moved, but I think Gauthier and Rykov are just dead pieces I would move him for a 3rd and a 4th rather than the 2 players that would really just not do much for us.

Rykov is 23, Gauthier hasn't played much in NHL predominately due to depth on both Canes and Rangers. He's not going to be some star but definitely serviceable.

I'd much rather have Gauthier than Barbashev

Limited TOI for Gauthier but still I think that's a decent gamble for a player that I feel is decently replaceable (as much as I love what he brings physically). I don't think you can possibly justify moving Barbashev up the lineup with his play the last two seasons. At the very least he's the last of the "mostly played fourth line" people I would move up between him Sundqvist and Blais

Yep, his offense has improved every year at the massive expense of his defense
