What is this? Why would they pay Schneider more than Gru? They are above the cap if they do this.

Schneider and Del Zotto are not worth that much and you are over the cap anyway. Avs roster is set already, no need to add more UFAs. Del Zotto and Mantha aren't upgrades over any of the Avs current D men and Schneider isn't an upgrade over either goalie

Besides all the above Calvert and PEB are going to anchor the 4th line and Compher and Donskoi the 3rd. Now I wouldnt mind seeing Jost get a shot centering Compher and Donskoi and Nuke forming a super d 4th line.
