Although during the season I do see the lines being changed and Burakovsky being moved up, opening night they will probably have the big line together.

oh for sure, I think they are experimenting with the Landy Kadri Saad line. They tried that with Nuke in Saads spot when they restarted the season. I think they want to see what they have with a true shutdown line. That combo of the 3 should be winning formation line they role out there to close out games

im also not a fan of that 3rd line, its very blah and when they have tried that combo it really doesn't do much, doesnt hurt you but doesnt drive the play.
Would love to see a Nuke Jost Calvert line for a bit, see what they have there

Mostly Agree, but I do like the third line, I feel it gives Compher a chance to have a much improved season, same with Nuke. That line also probably will not be a defensive liability

Not a Avs fan, but I like O'Connor a lot, maybe he should be in the taxi squad.

Agree or he could beat out Jost for a 4th line spot

Jost has a lot more NHL experience and is going to get you more on the scoresheet (although that isn't much). I do like O'Conner, though, and he should get more playing time. I could see Jost playing 4C (his two-way stats outside of scoring are actually decent) and having OC play wing opposite Calvert. That could be a good energy/checking line.

It comes down to bellemare, his spot is probably the least safe out of anyone. Moving jost in and out for O’Connor doesn’t answer any of their Questions on him, jr they do trade him.

Kaut is in the mix too for that 13th spot and both him and jost have more upside in O’Connor.

I think the majority of the fan bases likes him as a 13th/14th forward but I don’t think he really is more than that,

Sorry more of a long winded expanding on this and agreeing with you

i wouldn't be surprised if loc or kaut beat out jost. loc is a better fit for the 4th line.

Yeah, Bellemare doesn't bring a ton to the table so Jost could take his spot if he plays really well but then you still have PEB for depth. I'd like to Kaut get in the mix, too. I imagine Bednar and Sakic don't want too many young guys in the lineup at any given time, though. But, it's great to have some options.
