Doesn't really matter if Dubois wants out, they aren't going to trade him for rebuilding pieces, they'll trade him for a replacement or an upgrade at the same position if possible.

In this case, Kopitar is 3M more expensive and there's still over 7M in cap space.

they wont want rebuilding pieces but theyll get other young NHL ready players that teams will offer. Trading him for kopitar essentially gurantees theyll be rebuilding in 3 years espeicially if they add in bemstrom

Not really, they have Foudy in the pipeline. Many top 6 free agent center coming as well in Danault, RNH, etc... Or they can trade Foudy among other assets for a center.

I think kopitar would be perfect for jackets , but I do think jackets will want someone they can get a bit more long term use out of.
