I really liked Campbell and think he is going to push Andersen hard all season. Will be a terrific tandem

Good to know (didn't watch the game)!

Y'know, even with all the new faces that I was looking forward to getting a glimpse of, the guy I was most excited by was Marner. I know it's just a scrimmage but he was dancing out there. It was so refreshing. He put up the points last year, but there weren't many games where took over and was dangerous every time he was on the ice, especially at 5v5. The style of play that he had going tonight encapsulates 'fun', and boy did I miss it last year.

I like Thorton with those two as well. Matthews is going to be dominant. I think Brodie and Rielly will be really good together as well once they get more comfortable with each other. The one thing I saw though that will be a little difficult to navigate is both Sandin and Liljegren look good. Sandin is so smooth with the puck and Liljegren is a terrific skater and really is getting strong as well. Both look like they could be NHLers right now. Next year there will be no leaving them off the roster.

Yeah, that whole line looked great. You could tell there were some comfort issues with Brodie/Rielly, but I'm not too worried about that; should get better with time. I liked that Brodie seemed vocal on the ice. I hope there's some rotation on D from the taxi squad, because you're right, we have so many capable NHL Dmen.

yea Sandin and Lily will surely get some game time this season, they looked very comfortable out there.
