Super smart move

He's like a worse version of Yams

In terms of passing alone he's probably in the 90th percentile of NHL players, very gifted passer, just all his other qualities are 50th or 10th (goalscoring)

Overall probably a 3rd liner

And only just starting to move into his prime

His play got worse later in his AHL career. He is not an NHL player. There are hundreds, gee maybe thousands of AHL who put up good to great stats, but never made a dent in the NHL.
Don't you think the Leafs would have kept him by offering him a contract if he was NHL worthy?
