I also love all of our forward lines, the top 6 isn’t as lethal as I’d like, but they’re young, fun, hard working, and exciting to watch, which is good enough as they develop and wait for some D help to arrive lol. I would argue the bottom 6 is one of the best in the league tbh.
Did u see Batherson stickhandling his way into the offensive zone like 5 times, showing impressive vision and bodying everyone? Looks like a mix of Mark Stone and Brady Tkachuk to me.
Josh Norris is still getting used to the offensive side of the ice and carrying the puck in with confidence but you can see why DJ trusts him defensively. He made a couple of really nice plays defensively.
The Stutzle-Stepan-Dadonov line needs to wake up. Stutzle and Dadonov were pretty invisible, Dadonov even more than Stutzle and that’s saying something. Stepan when he scored a goal he wasn’t on the ice with these 2.
The 3rd line was impressive and absolutely dominated Toronto.
Gudbranson was blocking shots and throwing bodies I loved it. Chabot looked like a workhorse. Wolanin made a few bad plays but he just needs to keep it simple. Josh Brown and Coburn was surprisingly a solid pairing. Zaitsev looked surprisingly good with the exception of a few plays at the beginning.
Murray looked solid with the exception of the Tavares goal
