My guess at lines tonight

Created by: Claesson4Norris

Description
Arty and Paquette were not good enough, and White and Galchenyuk need to get looks. I don't think Arty in particular lasts very long if he's going to play like that.

Wolanin was a little iffy with his play, especially with his attempts at stretch passes that just weren't working. He's obviously going to be rusty after not playing NHL hockey in as long as he has, so I'm not surprised he was a bid off. I'm sure he'll be just fine, but I also don't mind him coming out for Reilly tonight.

Hog in for Murray just makes sense. It's going to be a tightly packed, and there’s no reason to play Murray on back to backs when you have Hogberg.

I also love all of our forward lines, the top 6 isn’t as lethal as I’d like, but they’re young, fun, hard working, and exciting to watch, which is good enough as they develop and wait for some D help to arrive lol. I would argue the bottom 6 is one of the best in the league tbh.

Did u see Batherson stickhandling his way into the offensive zone like 5 times, showing impressive vision and bodying everyone? Looks like a mix of Mark Stone and Brady Tkachuk to me.

Josh Norris is still getting used to the offensive side of the ice and carrying the puck in with confidence but you can see why DJ trusts him defensively. He made a couple of really nice plays defensively.

The Stutzle-Stepan-Dadonov line needs to wake up. Stutzle and Dadonov were pretty invisible, Dadonov even more than Stutzle and that’s saying something. Stepan when he scored a goal he wasn’t on the ice with these 2.

The 3rd line was impressive and absolutely dominated Toronto.

Gudbranson was blocking shots and throwing bodies I loved it. Chabot looked like a workhorse. Wolanin made a few bad plays but he just needs to keep it simple. Josh Brown and Coburn was surprisingly a solid pairing. Zaitsev looked surprisingly good with the exception of a few plays at the beginning.

Murray looked solid with the exception of the Tavares goal

If Ottawa wins tonight, the banter will be incredible. It will be full on meltdown for Leaf fans.

Tkachuk and Dadonov are legit 1st line level players, and Norris, Stützle and Batherson will improve as the season goes on. Thought Batherson was one of the most dangerous players on the ice last night, Norris looked like he belonged, and Stützle showed some flashes. Once the chemistry on the Step Dad line starts to click, I think the top 6 looks solid.

I think the top 12 is awesome. The 3rd line looked elite and White on the 4th line instead of Anisimov could really make this team fun to watch
