I actually never thought of that

Copley could be a worthwhile investment for the Oilers as I dont think Edmonton is gonna get Dell over Chicago

They need Russell to qualify for the expansion draft. They do this and they just lose Zadorov. The way Koekkoek has been playing he is not scratch.

Could just extend Koekkoek to meet expansion draft requirements. Could also just send Chicago Lagesson instead of Russell, he proabably has more value to them. Larsson and Barrie are UFA after this year. If Zadorov came in and played well we could just protect him over Caleb Jones who has been bad, and Klefbom who may never play again.

The issue with this is hoping that Chicago moves Zadorov for that little, considering they gave up Saad to get him.
