I think we could get a 3rd for Nemeth (although we might need to retain salary to make it work). We should also probably look to sell at least one of Helm and Glendening.

I could also see that for Nemeth, but the point remains that he's traded for a 3rd or a 4th depending on the retention. Glendening could be an option too, I'm no Wings fan, but I could see him being re-signed. As of Helm, even at 50% retained he still has an high cap hit for a contending team but who knows.

Why would Yzerman trade any of these guys for 2022 picks? We're only dealing for 2021 picks unless they're multiple picks. Nemeth at 50% retention will easily return a 3rd round pick. Bernier at $1,500,000 will return a 2nd round rather easily.

The picks are interchangeable, the value remains the same. As for Bernier, Beaucage more than makes up for the gap between a 2nd and a 3rd.
