Description
how the hell did Leo get another shot in the top 6 - and of course he cost us another goal by being careless with the puck. The 4th line is trash with the exception of cizikas.

Dobson - thought he played really well at even strength tonight. He's getting more confident and he can really fly for a guy his size. There was a lack of communication between him and Bailey in OT. It happens , I thought Bailey should have taken Laughton but I could be wrong.

Bellows-Pageau-Wahlstrom line were incredible. They deserved to play more than they did - they finished with a 90.55 xGF%

Bellows : I personally thought he was the best isles forward. He was playing well in the D zone and he has great instincts in the Ozone. He should not come out of the lineup.

Wahlstrom: Lead the isles in XGF% (90%) and he had a couple of really nice zone entries and set up bellows for 2 good scoring chances.

I would scratch komarov and Martin and end a message to the vets.

I think bellows had as good of a game as you can have playing for a Trotz team, but yeah that would not surprise me lol. Komarov got walked multiple times tonight. No joke he's had the worst 3 game stretch for an isles forward in the last 5 years and he gets rewarded with a promotion.

The kids are playing well. I would let the 3rd line stay together, gel, and develop some chemistry. When Beau comes back he will take his normal spot but for the time being, I would like to see what Dal Colle can do. He was the 5th overall (I understand he has not lived up to that potential). I think we give it a shot he looked good in the game we saw him. Maybe give Czarnik game instead of Clutterbuck but I think Martin has looked better. The line as a whole is a shell of what it used to be but that comes with age.

I agree on Dal Colle. He hustles and makes things happen, but I wouldn't mind bellows or wahlstrom getting a look in the top 6.

I think Martin and clutter have both been awful lol

In the bit I have seen the Islanders this year, JGP and Bellows looked better than I expected. Pelech/Pulock pairing worse. And Bailey MIA.

You're right on Bailey, but pelech and pulock have been incredible.

I think you have to put someone else in for Komorov. Trotz probably wanted to give this lineup a second chance to build chemistry. The Bellows-Pageau-Wahlstrom line has been great. Dobson as well. I read Trotz will make changes for tomorrow so hopefully that is one. I know he Mentioned Sorokin will start so putting Komorov on the taxi squad should be good for the cap. Also the team needs to work on 3 on 3. They were good for 2 periods but have not played 3 on 3 for while and it showed.

Hopefully Bailey with Lee and Eberle with Nelson will make them pick up their game.

I'm not really a fan of having Bailey with barzal (although its good for lee), I like eberle with nelson because ebs is a play driver and can drive his own line.

Trotz and Lou are the best tandem in hockey. They don't ever make mistakes and have insane goaltending for almost 2 seasons didn't mask the flaws this team has.

you sound salty my man. Once Ilya Sorokin gets comfortable we'll get more insane goaltending (his closest comparable is Hasek) while the leafs are stuck with a washed up Freddy Andersen. I'm looking forward to the leafs winning the division and then losing in the 1st rd. Toronto media after another 1st rd exit grimace
