amazes me people continue to not understand that the contract a player is on can significantly affect a players value. Nylander is very good value at his contract price. Pesce is unbelievable value at his contract price. Also, Pesce is a 1st pair D for like 25 teams in the league. Just because he happens to play on a team with slavin and Hamilton doesn't make him a "2nd pair RHD". He also plays just as much as Hamilton, and generally gets harder zone starts.

Capfriendly only allows for 1 image post, I could give you the pure numbers, yet the numerical values on their own won't mean much to those who aren't as educated in analytics.

Where did I say the eye test wasn't important? There's a value in it, but your eyes naturally track the puck, analytics allow for a vision of things the eyes miss. They take the bias out, which is why I am perfectly comfortable using analytics to combat what anyone "sees"
