Sure lets just give Boston 2 of the best 2 way centers in the league! What a nice gesture!

Cause then your chances of beating the Bruins goes from slim to none.

um... since 89-90 they have met 10 times. Boston has won 6.

    You had quite a run in the 40s 50s 60s 70s & 80s. Yay neutral

Krejci won't waive for Montreal and I will pass on Danault, don't need another 2C.

Who does Byron replace, Tkachuk, Dadonov, Batherson, Stützle, CBrown, Paul? No he's not better than any of these guys, which is why you want to trade him. He doesn't even make the top9 of the worst team in the league.

Ok - Danault is a good player, but let's pump the breaks. He is essentially an Elite defensively 3rd line center. I can even concede a 2c being held back offensively by team around him (until now) and Claude (legit). I just don't see the point production and he is almost 28 and 33-34 Danault probably isn't worth 5.75m.

The trade is fine, it just doesn't make sense for the Bruins or Canadiens. I don't think Krejci would play for Claude or in MTL.
Danault wouldn't really have a place if things go in the Bruins favor at all. They need a legit 1c - they hope Beecher or Studnicka can develop into that. Danault isn't that , and they have Coyle who essentially the same player (different skill set). They should have some money to spend too.

Bruins resign Krejci and Rask on short term deals and short money (relative) 1-2 years at 5m. Both could get more. Krejci may even take 3x3. Neither guy wants to leave Boston, it feels like both are setting up to have similar departure to Chara, but they won't sign somewhere else.

The only thing the Bruins are trading for at this point would be a potential 1LD or a potential 1C - long term anyway.

Danault has way more value than Debrusk

I wasn't arguing with any of that. My statement was just from a Habs stand point we are not trading Danault to a divisional rival and especially not to the Bruins, Lightening or Leafs to make them stronger.
