Absolutely not. Wouldn't do Kerfoot for Bennett straight up without retention, let alone adding a pick and keeping a million.

Obviously we can argue back and forth about the extras needed to complete a kerfoot for Bennet trade much like both GMs would but i dont see much point. Im just going to agree that a trade involving these two players might make sense for both teams.

Actually Calgary couldn't have picked him up off of waivers they couldn't have afforded him. At least not without exposing someone to waivers. Detroit, LA, New Jersey and Ottawa are the only teams that could've picked him up.

It's already been reported that Calgary has zero interest in Deangelo, And Bennett to Toronto makes zero sense Bennett wants 2C duties and PP time which he's getting neither in both Calgary and Toronto.

I’ve seen some major over valuation on Bennett so far amongst Flames fans. Two years ago maybe could have recouped some value. Don’t get me wrong I love Bennett’s game, but he doesn’t have the value of a number 3 overall pick anymore.
