Yikes. Retain 50% and make it straight up and maybe it’s a decision. Still kind of doubt it though.

I agree. 50% straight up would be tough though. A late 1st (hopefully) or second. I would hope Kane would provide a better wing for the second line and second power play than debrusk. I think kane is what we hope debrusk will turn into in a few years and by that time our core is old/gone.

Kane has way more grit than DeBrusk - there is no way you will get the 1st included for Kane on that one given the contracts and age difference - I would love to have Kane on the team though

Kane the on ice player is intriguing but other than that the Bruins don't want to go down that path even at straight up and with some retain. To be polite that relationship would probably sour quickly.
