DeBrusk+Kase+Zboril will help the Bruins more than Mantha alone.

Kase should be considering retirement. Dunn is an upgrade over Zboril.

I know Dunn is an improvement over Zboril but I was talking about sending him in the Mantha trade.

If they aquire Dunn Zboril becomes the 7th d man. Debrusk/Zboril for Mantha is fair and was the trade. Kase was just moving the cap hit. Could be Moore instead. Then trade Kase separately when healthy, if ever.

It would take more to get Mantha. Zboril is playing well, but not sure where people see his ceiling. Kase is basically a cap dump at this point.

For Mantha: Studnicka, Debrusk, pick

For Dunn: 2nd / 3rd...or at best, the Toews package (two 2nds)

Both seem like good ideas though.

I’d pass on Mantha at that point , keep Debrusk and target Granlund in Nash.

Fun stat 82 game average. Mantha 26.3 goals. Debrusk 24.2. Their trade value is not that far apart. Debrusk and Zboril is fair. Kase is a dump to make cap work, but a better dump than Moore, he could be useful again at some point.

Blues asking price is 1st. Weak draft, late pick. Just do it and get it over with.

2021 is not at all a weak draft. The top of the draft may be weaker, but a late 1st in 2021 is better than last 1st in 2020.
(In other words, I'd rather have a top-10 in 2020....but a late 1st in 2021).

As for Debruska/Mantha...I was just working off the original offer. I'd think Detroit would want Studnicka, Johnny B, Lohrei, etc...(young prospects) for Mantha.

Ehh the lazy, unfounded rumor is that the Blues are asking for a 1st. And the 2021 class is at least as deep as the 2020 class.

Acquiring Dunn means losing either him or grzelcyk to expansion.

Debrusk is fine but we prob want more swayman or Beecher is what we'd want

Pass on Mantha period. Making 2M+ more a year than Debrusk but not getting extra production to validate it plus Mantha is signed for an extra 2 years. Would lose cap flexibility which has value.

Enough with Vince Dunn, Will Butcher. Is Carl Brewer next in line? Like you've said before, LD is fine for now.

B) Grizz/Zboril/Urho with Seattle taking Lauzon.

I’ll take A. The more options you have, the more insulated you are from the expansion draft.

Can always package Grizz and Bjork for an upgrade somewhere else if you are so concerned about losing a mediocre 2nd pair d.
