No way from Pettersson and Hughes. Might be too low for a bridge to be honest

If Pettersson takes a bridge, I see him going 2 years at 8mil AAV

That might be a little high. You gotta think it'll be in the Point & Barzal range, so if it's 2 years maybe 7 or 7.5

That’s if the flat cap stays. Teams are starting to bring in revenue again, and if the playoffs aren’t in a bubble, then I think we could see an increase in the cap. Also consider Pettersson is much more important to his team than Point, and better than Barzal.

It was already announced there wouldn't be an increase though

In that case, a 7,5 mil AAV is more realistic

what's the deal with Ferland? Is he a permanent LTIR guy? If so we take VAN's lottery pick and run

likely done. Has had concussion issues for years.

That being said, the user said these deals happen after the draft so I assume the meant a 2022 1st round pick. & If I'm Toronto I'm not paying that much money to a guy that's not gonna play again to essentially just move $1.25M in cap when Ferland's deal has $5.5M in real money left on it. There's no guarantee that pick is even a top 10. If they add a decent prospect on there, sure I'd consider it. But giving up a NHL calibre d-man for that alone isn't worth it. Dermott could bring something more useful if they're not gonna pay up to move the deal.

Since every team is dumping their, mostly useless, high capped player Seattle will have to have a 120ish mil cap. They'll have the opportunity to take better players. At least you didn't try dumping Holtby or Myers on them...
