I like Pionk, but he's probably looking for a hefty sum on resigning. The role he'd take will likely be played quite well by an emerging Bouchard next season at a really cheap rate as 2RD behind Bear. Would rather the Oil resign Larsson or a similar defensive 3RD at likely half the number Pionk will command, and keep the 1st. I also think if they want a Pionk type, Barrie would just be resigned, without losing the 1st. Although I think this is silly with Bouchard able to be the puckmoving RHD.

I’d much sooner just resign larsson he’s been a beast this season and has expressed desire to stay so might as well just stick with him.
