6m for a bottom pair defender? No thanks. If we’re trading 71, it’s for a rebuild. Not to throw that money away.

That's too funny. I think you meant to say a capable top 4 defenseman who currently plays on a top 5 defense in the league.

Or were you referring to Matheson....

Irregardless, as much as I love Geno, Pittsburgh aren't the ones saying no here. It's Minnesota, even if we are desperate for top six centers, we aren't paying that for Malkin and taking back Matheson on top of it.

Geno, for as much as I love him, isn't what the Wild are looking for or want in a top six guy. Geno's too old, and doesn't help us when our window isn't for another 2-4 years away.
