That is all half of them look at yes. JT could have had a couple of goals for sure. Looked good and don't give up much at all in their own zone. That alone should make people happy but the fans that are mad, are also idiots.

I don’t think he was as good as tavares. He did finish 3rd in expected goals amongst leafs forwards. Not amazing but he played better than marner did IMO. But he seems to be getting all the flack.

He's so smooth you just aren't capable of keeping up with his game play. Setup JT several times for good looks.

in general JT is focusing on playing more defensive meaning he wont score as much. People can cry about it but the goal of this team was to get better defensively and not be 28th in the league again in GA

He always does, he could score 10 points in a game and the same people who chirp him now will say he didn't hit anyone so he floats. It's so stupid.

A point not at all lost on me, been saying it for weeks. Nylander too has been way more committed defensively. His xGA is close to Bergeron's this year. Impressive for sure, do the legions of "Nylander Floats!" Goons notice? Nope because he doesn't hit. It's honestly just ridiculous at this point. People really are just stunned these days.

I’m hard on Nylander. But he has been better this year in his own end. I’ve never asked for him to hit. Because well, he is a Swede and they’re famous for not hitting. But it’s his effort. He is so inconsistent. He has moments of brilliance and then on the very same shift he would lose a puck battle to Phil Kessel. I only want to see more aggression.... oh and his stick on the ice.
