Even then i think it’s a third. Max. He can barely crack 18 minutes for the mighty red wings.

Likewise - thinking a 3rd or a 4th given how he is playing and where he is at with his career.

A 2nd is probably too much and I think a 3rd is realistic with 50% retention.

Staal is averaging !8.16 min a game and he has logged 18min or more in 11 of the out of the 18 games he has played and he has put up 2g and 2a on a team that is having all kinds trouble scoring. Between our teams only McAvoy and Hronek are the only defensemen that have been more productive.

Now I'm not saying he is great this season but he is playing better than a lot of people think. I still think a 2nd is too much but a 3rd is fair especially if Detroit retains.

3rd is reasonable. Wings pick up in the end 2 draft picks for taking on Stalls Contract. Send the paperwork over to central registry 😂
