Eichel Trade Offseason - Kings

Team: 2021-22 Buffalo Sabres
Team Explanation
I think that is fair trade value IF that pick is somewhere in the top ten closer to the top five. It is way better to do this after the expansion draft and before the entry draft.

No way La does that if that pick is top 5, even if it's a little later they still might decline

It's a reasonable return for a guy like Eichel. As you said, it would need to happen after the expansion draft because the Kings would need to use Quick to satisfy the expansion draft exposure requirements for goaltenders.

Quick carries a lot of negative value that negates a lot of the positive value you listed. Swap for someone like Iafallo and you're closer...

That’s a massive offer. Sabres would be nutz not to take. Look at it:
1. Turcotte = high end prospect (5th overall)
2. Vilardi = young promising roster player.
3. Quick = throw in for money reasons.
4. First round pick = high end sweetener

Why does Friedman continue to speculate on this? By the way, this summer you published the news here that LA is interested in Eichel or maybe I'm wrong.

I've never done that on Eichel. I've done on Deangelo and a few other players, but not him.

No doubt. Already getting 3 first round picks. The 2021 pick, Turcotte (5th overall), Vilardi (10-11th overall). Might see them squeezing a B level prospect like Jordan Spencer. Or a bottom six F like Frk. But that’s it.

He’s in there for money reasons. Honestly he could mentor a younger G. I would have selected Dustin Brown but he has a NTC and Quick does not.

Good memory, I forgot about that. Hopefully I'm not the one who started this trend on ACGM. I post a lot so I forget most of my stuff lol.

If you read the bio, I wrote I am 100% against Eichel to LA.
